Welcome to Art and Decor!
From the beginning in 1989, Walnut Hills has known there are artists within the congregation and friendship circle. Likewise, from the beginning, there have been practical and aesthetic needs. The Celebration Center at Walnut Hills could be likened to a giant, blank canvas. The walls of the Center are very large, white and bland. Through the help of many, the Celebration Center has come to life with color and works of art. The centerpiece of the Celebration Center Art is the baptismal font, formed from a beam from the World Trade Center.
One group that has helped to make the Celebration Center more beautiful is Needles of Love. During the 2008-2009 liturgical seasons, these dedicated and talented seamstresses have made large panels of color to be hung on the walls. From the scraps of these panels, the sewing team crafted the beautiful altar cloths. These additions have added much needed beauty and color to the Celebration Center.
