Walnut Hills Preschool (updated July 9, 2008)

A place where children really count!

Our Mission
To provide a quality preschool for children and their families in a nurturing Christian environment.

Preschool Goals
At Walnut Hills Preschool, we want all children to discover that they are special individuals because God loves them, and that God has given them a wonderful world to discover, explore, and in which to be creative. It is also our goal to provide a quality literacy based curriculum with many child appropriate, hands-on experiences to help each child develop at his or her own rate in all areas of development- social, emotional, physical and cognitive.

Parents are important to us
P
arent involvement is a vital part of our program.
We enjoy having parents & other family members visit and help in the classroom and with home projects.  We have several daytime programs plus some evenings of fun and fellowship with the children and their parents/families througho
ut the year.

2008 Fall Openings for Pre Kindergarten age
We currently have a few remaining spots in our afternoon Pre K program.
This is for children who will be at least 4 years old by this September 15.
If you are interested or know of someone, please have them call Sue at 270-9126.

Center Time
75 minutes of creating, discovering and exploring in 3 rooms of center activities.  The choices include: language and writing experiences, math fun, painting, art creations, science/cooking and sensory activities, block play, manipulatives and dramatic play.
Small Group
Fun and creative theme and concept activities that develop listening, memory and communication skills.
Motor/Music/Recess
We encourage the development of large motor skills and the joy of music during this time.  We have a wonderful playground area for recess in the beauty of Walnut Hill's wooded setting.
