Welcome!
At Walnut Hills we seek to provide a welcoming, fun and caring environment for our children to learn about their faith, explore Bible stories, and be in service to others in partnership with their families. We provide opportunities for children from preschool through 6th grade:
Sunday School
We have classrooms for children from preschool through 6th grade. Our preschool and kindergarten rooms are theme-based each Sunday, and provide a rotation to help reinforce the Bible stories through drama, crafts, games, and play. Our 1st – 6th grade classrooms use the Live B.I.G. (Belief In God) curriculum which includes a Bible story, crafts, games, a DVD component and music to understand the Bible story and relate it to our lives today. Sunday school runs from the Sunday following Labor Day through the Sunday before Memorial Day.
Kids Alive!
Kids Alive is for children from kindergarten through 4th grade, and meets on Wednesday evenings from September – April from 6:00 – 7:15 p.m. Each week has a different theme, focusing on deepening our own spirituality and being in service to others.
56 Club
56 Club is for 5th and 6th graders and meets on Wednesday evenings from September – April from 6:00 – 7:15 p.m. Themes for 56 Club include learning more about the Christian tradition and being in service to others, with a special few weeks devoted to the 56 Club Band.
