About Us

Walnut Hills is a place to call home, where all are welcome, nourished spiritually, and sent forth to serve.

We can’t wait to meet you! By filling out a connection card, we’ll be able to introduce ourselves to you, share information and events about Walnut Hills, and point you toward great ways to get involved.

A Campaign for Kindness

How do you want to be treated?

There’s a phrase, commonly known as The Golden Rule, that simply states: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” A version of this teaching can be found in almost every major religion. This universal rule holds the power to bring people together.

Do Unto Others is a grassroots movement to encourage people to be intentional about treating one another with kindness, respect, love, humility and compassion, even those with whom we disagree. A vote for kindness is a step toward overcoming the polarization in our country through civility and respect. Join us at Walnut Hills this October for the kindness campaign every Sunday at 9:30 am in person or online.

On October 13, Walnut Hills will be celebrating 35 years of ministry! We’ll gather to reflect on our journey, give thanks for the past, and look forward to the future. All are welcome for this special day of worship, fellowship, and community.

Join us on October 23rd for our trunk or treat at Walnut Hills! It will be a night of food, fun, this fall!

Our VALUES

A place to call home

At Walnut Hills United Methodist Church, we strive to welcome all people, and when we say all, we mean it. We hope that you’ll find that we’re a place to call home. To us, that means at Walnut Hills you’ll feel nourished spiritually and you want to go out into the world in service.

We belong to the Reconciling Ministries Network, a network of United Methodists of all sexual orientations and gender identities to transform our church and world into the full expression of Christ’s inclusive love. We resolve to follow Jesus’ admonition to “love one another, as I have loved you,” regardless of age, race, ethnic background, gender, marital status, physical or mental ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, socio-economic status, or any other human condition. As a reconciling congregation, we believe we are being reconciled to God and one another.

We hope you’ll read these pages to learn more about what we have to offer. And of course, we welcome any questions you have!

Music at Walnut Hills

We are excited to offer Ringmasters (bell choir) and Celebration Singers (vocal choir), directed by Maggie Schatzberg. We’re always excited for new musicians! Email Maggie if you’d like to get involved!
